Von Steuben Students Read to Children in the Albany Park Community Head Start Program

Fifteen Von Steuben students who participated in the "Books Made to Share" Program wrote and illustrated their own children's books. On Wednesday, May 7th Von students had the opportunity to share their books with eight classrooms of preschool children.

At the Film Festival we will be playing a slide show recognizing the academic, athletic, artistic, civic, etc. accomplishments of Von Steuben students. Indiana University of Pennsylvania - Summer Honors Program
Indiana University of Pennsylvania in conjunction with the Robert E Cook Honors College will be hosting a Summer Honors Program for those high school students who have a passion for learning and has a desire to contribute to a community of scholars. Boston Universitys Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists
Boston Universitys Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS) is a 6 week residential program for 65 high school students with exceptionally strong interest in mathematics. The cost for this program is $2,500 but scholarships are available. To fill out an application go on-line to www.promys.org The program runs from June 29-August 9. Application deadline is May 30th.

FAFSA Completion Workshop
Attention seniors. Complete FAFSA applications are required to attend college. If you are having problems filling out your FAFSA help is available. The City of Chicago is offering FAFSA completion workshops everey Tuesday through April 8th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at City Hall 121 N. LaSalleSt., room 107.
