Von Steuben Students Win Top Honors at State Science Fair!
Sana Hira and Kyle Swartz were both honored with Gold distinction at the 2009 State Science Fair, held at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Marta Budzikowska's project earned Silver distinction.
Von Steuben's Battle of the Books Team Wins 2nd Place at the 9th Annual Spring Book Club Conference!
Congratulations to Angelina Bauer, Lluvia Carrisoza, Wynndee Reese, Claire Rychlewski and Tania Velez who competed against Juarez and Lincoln Park High Schools. These students answered questions about 20 books in front of an enthusiastic crowd at Du Sable High School on Saturday, May 9th. In addition, Tania Velez was awarded a check for $500 for the purchase of college textbooks. Thanks to everyone who attended the Spring Book Club Conference.
