Welcome to The Writing Center:
The Writing Center is a place where teachers and tutors help students with all aspects of any type of writing assignment.
- Last year, the Writing Center started a Peer Tutor Program.
Peer Tutors:
1st Period: Angie Azouri, Abby Hodgkinson, & Nicky Patel
2nd Period: Sanobar Charania & Joe Senz
4th Period: Gabriel Chwala, Muzit Gebretensae, Hira Noor,
& Luke Priebe (Peer Tutor for all things Math)
5th Period: Ivette Cruz & Ruby Parkash
6th Period: Amera Al-Ali, Rachel Glass, Wahida Patel, & David Flores Room 116; Open periods 1,2,4,5,6,7,8 - You probably know at least some of us, and, if not, you will once you start coming to the Writing Center.
- During Peer Writing Conferences, you benefit because:
- We are not your teachers; we’re other Von students. Our job is to help you, not to judge your writing or give your papers grades.
- We have experienced what you are experiencing when it comes to writing assignments. We have written many papers that you are (or will be) working on.
- As seniors and juniors we have taken the same or similar classes you are taking now so we know most of your teachers and their styles.
